Ricky & Pinky
When Prue and I found ourselves with a few hours free after a busy few days of packing and cleaning up our Northcote home, we could think of no better way to spend it than whiling away the time at Ricky and Pinky.

We weren't in the mood for dessert so we asked to make some changes and the kitchen gladly allowed us to switch out the dessert for some oysters and fried calamari at no extra cost.
I think my favourite dish this time was the Mapo Tofu which packed with flavour and pungent from the generous seasoning of Sichuan pepper. The smashed cucumbers and radishes were also delicious, and pretty. Last time there was an iceberg lettuce and crispy fried prawns dish which was also fantastic. But there really isn't a bad dish on the menu.
We have a soft spot for, Ricky & Pinky, perhaps because it reminds us of our recent trip to Hong Kong for Morgan and Jenny's wedding, or because we had such a fun time on our first visit with Jenny and Tess, but probably because it's one of the best meals you can have in Melbourne under $80.
